After 40 years as an educator, I have found my home in my yoga teaching practice.
My path has gradually curved toward yoga that is rooted in inquiry, humility and deep respect for the maturing tissue we inhabit. I weave the threads of many movement modalities - somatics, structural integration, Feldenkrais approaches - into a gentle hatha practice available on mat or chair.
I’m drawn to working with older adults who may live with physical challenges but who are curious about yoga’s offerings of breath and movement. We explore together; travelling from the inside out, reclaiming wholeness and ease. We move away from pain. We function more effectively. We move better - again.
I am grateful for my formation in the Vinyasa and Yin traditions, the methods of Vanda Scaravelli, therapeutic yoga disciplines and the pioneers at Duke University’s Centre for Integrative Medicine. The learning has been rich and deep. Still is.
