How to take a livestream class

Our livestream yoga classes are hosted on Zoom and they can be enjoyed on your computer, tablet or smart phone.

If you are not on Zoom yet, please download the free Zoom application here and install it on your device(s) before your first class.

When you register for a leelapod livestream class, you will receive an email confirmation that contains the class link and reiterates the class details. If you do not see your email confirmation within a few minutes of your purchase, please check your spam folder before contacting us at hello@leelapod.com for tech support. By the way, our confirmation email contains a link that can help you add the class to your calendar, complete with its class link.

We will send you an email reminder an hour before the class (just in case you forgot or lost your class link) and if you provided your mobile number during checkout, we will text you the same reminder.

Click the class link a few minutes before class and follow the instructions to get into the designated Zoom room. Please mute your microphone upon entry, decide whether you would like to keep your camera on or off (the choice is yours), and pin the teacher’s video to keep it front and centre while you practice.

If you cannot hear your teacher, try clicking the ^ beside your mute button on the lower left side of your Zoom window to ensure you’ve selected the correct speaker and then confirm that you haven’t previously muted your computer’s speaker or turned it way down.

If you have trouble connecting or audio and video quality are extremely poor, please check the system requirements for using Zoom here. If bandwidth is the issue, read this article for practical tips for wireless connection issues. A few quick things you can do are: (1) move closer to your modem/router; (2) close all unnecessary windows and apps on your device; (3) ask the people who share your wifi connection to avoid using streaming services such as Netflix while you take your class; and turn off your camera.

There are lots of great articles and instructional videos out there for Zoom newbies. Just type “how to join a Zoom meeting” into your web browser and let the learning begin.
