In the words of Paulo Coehlo, "Straight roads do not make skillful drivers." This compact, twist-centric practice has its GPS coordinates set on two ambitious arm balances--Koundinyasana 1 and Full Grasshopper--but asks you to care more about the meandering journey than the destination. We initially get the heart pumping with a couple of fun and accessible exercises that are a distinct departure from the usual Sun Salutations but take a "stop and smell the roses" attitude for the remainder of the class. Props: towel or a pair of socks.
