Knead and Nurture: Planting Seeds for Handstand

They say you're only as solid as what you build on. This practice takes its cues from our boreal buddies, Tree Pose and Downward Facing Tree Pose, A.K.A. Handstand. We plant seeds for safe, sturdy and smart weight wearing on feet and hands. Learn how to restore glide to your own ankle joints, increase toe-prioception for better balance, and shed light on old gait patterns. Then shift your focus to the hands, wrists and shoulders with exercises that stretch and strengthen in all the right places. Our peak pose is an integrating handstand prep we do standing up at the wall. Weβre calling it Downward Facing Downward Facing Tree Pose. Props: massage balls, blocks, large towel, bolster or cushion
