Meditation is more than the simple absence of thought. Similarly, rest and relaxation do not spontaneously arise when your work day is over. Today's practice is not so much a βwork in progressβ as it is a βrest in progress.β We use the techniques of self-massage, breathing, therapeutic movement and deep stillness to train our bodies, nervous systems, and minds to access calmer states.
