Freestyle Flow: Flying Splits

😅 vigorous, adventurous, wowee // 70 min. // YuMee

Eka Pada Koundinyasana 2 (Flying Splits) is a pressure cooker of an arm balance that requires strength, flexibility and coordination. This practice opens with chanting, a talk, a self massage sequence, and breath practices, and builds slowly to our peak pose, while exploring the opposite actions of Cat (spinal flexion) and Cow (spinal extension) in the context of dynamic balance. It invokes a decent amount of 360 degree core awareness. Not particularly vigorous or muscular so you can focus on technique and stay mindful throughout. Props: 2 bath towels and 2 blocks.
